CASE STUDY: INFLAMMATION AWARENESS MONTH SOCIAL
The Ask: Elanco Animal Health was facing the impending release of a competitor product to its canine osteoarthritis (OA) joint pain and inflammation treatment, Galliprant. They needed us to help them stand out and maintain/grow market share.
The Idea: Galliprant treats inflammation as well as pain, while the rival product only relieves pain. We decided to create Inflammation Awareness Month – 31 straight days of social media content targeting veterinarians with videos, animations and statics about the importance of treating inflammation.
The Challenge: Galliprant had zero social media presence and the client was wary of using social as a platform. There were also several major legal and regulatory hurdles to overcome, mainly we couldn't mention Galliprant or make over promissory statements.
The Result: Though the competitor product had JUST launched, Galliprant had over 4x as many mentions on social. Elanco loved the project and asked us to create new inflammation awareness posts throughout the year. AWARDS: First and Best of Show - Consumer Audiences, Best of NAMA Regional
My Role: I collaborated on locking down the content for each of the 31 posts in addition to writing all of the caption and image/video copy.
